Tig Notaro

Dress: Halter Dress in Psychedelic Print by Gabby Skye (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Nurture, thrifted
Earring: Vintage 80s
Bracelet: Vintage, thrifted
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
The colors in this dress were marvelous & I loved the halter style...but it was too difficult to wear without a lot of help from David...he had to attach my bra straps to each other in back so they didn't show. Otherwise, I had fun wearing this dress & I would probably buy it for $20 or less.
Green screen! This is the other side of the building that has changing graffiti on it that I often use.
What did I ever do before finding these fabulous orange shoes? Thrifting is the best.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Deep Blue,  Kat von D eyeshadow in Legend, NYX Liquid Suede lipstick in Orange County (on my eyes & lips), & A Roll in the Hague nail polish by OPI.
David & I went to see Tig Notaro. If you haven't watched her show, One Mississippi (I spelled that right all on my own)...it's great...semi-autobiographical, dysfunctional family, funny.
Rye came to work with us! Trying on Converse at TJ Maxx to find out my size & because the Girls of GB informed me that they had citrus ones...I NEED citrus shoes...but I ended up ordering mine online because our store didn't have them.

The Moth: Beauty

Dress: Napoli Dress in Montparnasse by Effie's Heart (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee #borrownbuy
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Born, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Age Before Beauty
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I immediately bought this dress...I adore the style & lived in this dress in another print last fall (which I also finally bought just recently from the GB resellers). Effie's Heart is my go-to casual cute look. This pattern is fabulous...it reminds me of wallpaper...from a distance the background reads pink...but up close you can see it's a mauve pinstripe. The fit & length are perfect for me.
I decided instead of adding color to this neutral dress...I'd go back to my goth roots & go dark.
Let's talk about my make-up...this was my first time wearing this NYX eyeliner (that I bought back in January)...it is now my new favorite liner color...oxblood *swoon*...also my first time wearing Colourpop lipstick (that I bought over a year ago)...it was gluggy after a few minutes of trying to get it on just so...I'll have to try a different shade & give myself a shorter time to get it right to see if this is the norm.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX Faux Blacks eyeliner in Oxblood, NYX Ultimate eyeshadow palette in Warm Neutrals, LAX Colourpop Ultra Matte lipstick, & We the Female nail polish by OPI.
Kate's boyfriend Jason had an extra ticket to The Moth & asked if I wanted to go...yes!!! I've been meaning to check it out live...& the theme was perfect for me...I like beauty. It was good & I'd go again...but for some reason I thought it would be different from the other storytelling events I've been to...more polished? And it was just the same...some good stories, a few great storytellers, & some people that should have practiced more.
I may have gotten a few dresses on sale from City Chic...

Elkhorn Antique Flea Market

Dress: Reiss Dress in Bauhaus Print by Rachel Antonoff (size 5x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Leggings: Torrid (size 4x)
Shoes: Born, thrifted
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I hate this dress like poison. But the pattern & colors were too spectacular to pass up. The plus dresses Rachel Antonoff makes for GB are super cute...but none of them fit properly...the top of this seemed several sizes larger than the bottom. I can't think of a single nice thing to say about this dress other than, wow...pattern & color. So I decided to have fun with it & pair it with these donut leggings I got from Torrid.
This same style of dress is also available in a fabulous dancing feet pattern...but I just can't do it...even if I could cover the top with a cardigan...the scuba fabric is just too hideous.
The downside of blogging all the dresses I rent...some of them are complete failures. On that note...I have a confession...I own at least 60 dresses that I have *never* worn. I like to buy dresses. But I'm more likely to wear a GB dress since I have to return it. I am looking forward to when my new closet is completed & being able to see everything I have. Although, that really has nothing to do with why I don't wear the dresses I own.
My make-up with this outfit included...Make Up For Ever eyeliner in M-10, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Gossip & Jones, Flamepoint eyeshadow by Sugarpill, Habanero lipstick from MAC, NYX lipstick in Hippy Chic, & No Tan Lines nail polish from OPI.
I wore this dress to the second Elkhorn Flea of the season...David & I went to gaze upon the spectacular offerings & find ourselves a few treasures for our new home. Here are a smattering of things that caught my eye...I would have snapped up that mermaid in a minute if she didn't look like a 12 year old girl.
After the market, we went to the Mexican restaurant we discovered last time. Mango margarita made with real mango...yum.
I found these lovely bakelite & lucite bracelets to add to my collection. I didn't take photos of anything else we brought home...I know we got a bunch of doorknobs & plates, a few tin ceiling pieces, a metal cornice with oak leaves & acorns, & some dressing table bits & bobs for my make-up vanity.
